The new brewery has made it clear since its inception that a focus was going to be placed on barrel-aged beers. This month they made good on that promise by releasing their second nationally available barrel-aged beer: Guinness Stock Ale Aged in Bulleit Bourbon Barrels….

We’re officially in spring and hopefully those cold snowy days of winter are behind us. Grass is turning green and the flowers are getting ready to bloom. A big added bonus to the start of spring is National Cocktail Day which falls on Sunday March 24 this year! In honor of the holiday we wanted to highlight and feature the following recipes. Last month we worked with Partida Blanco and Diplomatico Rum for our Oscar’s Cocktail Series and we enjoyed them so much we figured why not give them another go for National Cocktail Day! Our final two cocktails in our Oscar’s Cocktail series features the non-GMO and all organic Ravo Vodka. This is a vodka from a company who gives a damn about the product. Today we picked two awesome recipes to enjoy while watching the Academy Awards tonight; the Rooftop Lemonade and the Floradora. The Floradora is a massive crowd pleaser that will become your new favorite once you try it. The fresh raspberry flavor combined with the ginger ale makes the cocktail sweet yet spiced…

Today we’re continuing our Oscar’s Cocktail Series and we’re focusing on The Famous Grouse Smoky Black Scotch Whisky. This whisky is full of flavor and has a superior finish. Perfect standalone or in a spirit-forward cocktail, the Famous Grouse has certainly put together a solid Scotch for the masses. Scotch is always a challenge to mix due to its complex tasting notes and signature peat flavoring. We found two great cocktails to try out with this Smoky Black Scotch; the Godfather and the Rob Roy. After all, it’s the Academy Awards; why not have a cocktail named after the greatest movie ever made and a famous folk hero….

The next nominee for our Oscar’s Cocktail series is the Partida Old Fashioned. This take on the classic Old Fashioned uses its namesake; Partida Tequila which is a fantastic 100% natural and 100% Mexican tequila of great quality. This cocktail is perfect to sit down and enjoy the show tomorrow. This is definitely one of our more cozy and calm cocktails that makes for a relaxing evening watching the best in film be honored for their achievements…

Our second nominee for the Oscar’s Series of Cocktails is the Diplo Daiquiri, featuring Diplomatico Rum. We were super excited to try this one out due to our affinity for Rum products and Diplomatico absolutely impressed. Although typically enjoyed as a sipping rum, this Venezuelan export is a perfect addition to this classic recipe and creates a smooth aftertaste and finish to a worldwide favorite cocktail. This is a perfect recipe to enjoy with company as you watch this year’s nominees at the Academy Awards! You can even make this recipe in larger batches as well…

Meet the first nominee in our Academy Awards/Oscar’s Cocktail series; the Benham’s Cocktail. If you haven’t tried Benham’s Sonoma Dry Gin, well then you’re missing out big time. This gin is absolutely one of the most versatile brands we’ve had the privilege of working with. We used Benham’s in this recipe as a take on the classic Vesper cocktail. The Vesper was one of James Bond’s signature cocktails alongside the Martini, so why not choose this classy, elegant, and tasty cocktail to enjoy as you watch the stars of Hollywood descend upon this year’s Academy Awards.

Here she is folks, the final cocktail in our Castello del Poggio Valentine’s Day Sweet Rose Cocktails (that’s a mouthful). This was our absolute favorite cocktail creation using the new Castello del Poggio Sweet Rosé. Absolutely delectable and delightful, the combination of crisp rosé and mouthwatering watermelon and strawberries creates a truly amazing cocktail. This recipe is perfect if you’re lucky enough to spend your Valentine’s Day somewhere nice and tropical, or if you’re looking for that perfect dessert drink to impress your significant other (or yourself, no shame here). Save this recipe for your summertime cocktail list too, as this cocktail is too good to limit to just one season or holiday.….

With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, we just couldn’t finish our cocktail series without adding a few flashbacks from last year. We teamed back up with Smirnoff and their Spiked Sparkling Seltzer Rosé to bring you two more cocktails this year.
